Uchiko

Uchiko Houston, inspired by Japanese farmhouses, melds smokey intimacy with contemporary craftsmanship through natural, aged materials.
The entrance is marked by timber lattice and sets a warm, refined tone. Eroded concrete light shades and vibrant wall coverings by Camille Warmington introduce dappled light and deep blues, complemented by murals that extend the color upward, revealing a double-height space. Inside, reclaimed walnut, white oak, and cedar blend with molded Venetian plaster for a tactile experience, enhanced by brass, bronze, and custom leather banquettes inspired by Jose Zanine Caldas. The dining room is punctuated with a large private dining area as well as a chef’s table featuring a large, blue fringe light fixture. The front dining area is anchored by a lush patio and bar that embrace the activity of the lively Post Oak neighborhood while still offering an intimate setting fo diners.
