Jane Frederick is an award-winning architect and co-founder of Frederick + Frederick Architects, a nationally recognized firm based in Beaufort, South Carolina. With decades of experience designing high-performance custom homes in hot, humid climates, Jane is passionate about sustainability, regional vernacular, and beautiful, livable architecture.

Her debut book, co-authored with Michael Frederick, Contemporary Southern Vernacular: Creating Sustainable Houses for Hot, Humid Climates, distills her firm’s proven strategies for combining timeless Lowcountry design principles with cutting-edge building science. A sought-after speaker and thought leader in Southern coastal architecture, Jane’s work has been featured in Southern Living and The Wall Street Journal.

When she's not designing or writing, Jane enjoys exploring the natural beauty of the South Carolina coast and sharing her knowledge with the next generation of architects and homeowners.

Jane was the 2020 President of the ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿ân Institute of Architects.
