Mike Waldinger, Hon. AIA, is the Executive Vice President and CEO of AIA Colorado, bringing decades of leadership experience in advancing the architectural profession through advocacy, education, and industry collaboration. Previously serving for 18 years as Executive Vice President of AIA Illinois, he led major initiatives in architecture practice, building codes, sustainability, leadership development, and disaster response. A respected voice within the profession, Mike has also served as a special consultant to the national ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿ân Institute of Architects and is the cofounder of AEC Cares, a nonprofit delivering pro bono design and construction services to communities in need. His contributions have earned him numerous national honors, including the AIA Component Leadership Award, Distinguished Service Award, and Richard Upjohn Fellowship.
